Vision

To champion and articulate the aspirations and socio-economic development of women throughout the transport industry.

Mission

To facilitate and promote opportunities that support, connect, empower, and scale women-owned transport businesses across South Africa.

Empowering Women Across the South African Transport Sector

SANWIT is the official umbrella platform connecting, supporting, and advocating for female entrepreneurs and professionals in rail, maritime, road, and civil aviation.

The South African Network for Women in Transport (SANWIT) was born out of a strategic need to dismantle entry barriers, eliminate systemic myths, and open economic doors for women. We serve as a direct bridge between female-owned enterprises and public sector resources, state-owned entities, and broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) opportunities.
